Like so many electronic producers before him, Daniel Lyons started out as a musician and spent the first few years of his musical life learning to play various instruments. At 12 years old he stopped learning these instruments as his passions for music changed. He developed a love for electronic music and started mixing music together.
At the tender age of 15 he began DJing. He quickly began receiving bookings for various parties and for local clubs, at just 15 years of age. 2 years later Daniel propelled himself into a frenzy of musical experimentation and he began recording and producing his own sounds.
Coming from a sleepy little town in South Ireland, Daniel had the perfect creative environment to develop his skills in and spent the majority of his later teenage years shut away in his little home studio. When he started his studies in interactive multimedia and sound engineering, he started to involve himself within the clubbing scene and became strongly influenced by the electronic sounds that were surrounding him. Acquiring a new taste for different genres almost every year, he got to work on creating his own musical interpretations of electronic music.
Within a couple of months, Daniel was playing his music out live and retaining great feedback. He began co-hosting his own nights at local clubs in South Ireland. Daniel had his first release in 2008 and followed this up with releases as collaborations, as well as starting up 2 small independent digital record labels.
Daniel took a break from DJing and producing when he moved from Ireland to Asia. After having time away from the studio he returned fuelled with passion and new ideas. He began once again locking himself into his studio twisting his own sounds and has since released music on Minim.all, Hutman-Records, Kushtee Records and Vibe Lebanon Records to date. He has enjoyed growing success on the download charts with both his own productions and on his collaborations. He has since returned to DJing again and is bringing his sound to a whole new audience in a new continent.
“I want to make meaningful music, music that has a deep story and takes the listener on a journey, because that's exactly what I want when I listen to music. Some of the music I've produced has been art because there is a deep and meaningful artist's intention. I love recording my own samples because no one else has the exact same sound. I've used some of the strangest things in the production of my music."
Daniel is more passionate and motivated about his productions than ever before and he is showing no signs of slowing down.
