hello dear djtunes customer. we had last time a lot of question regardings the territory restrinction. unfortunately we have no chance to change this settingsThese restrictions are enforced by the record labels, not us...here's a breakdown: Records labels that have a strong selling product/release do not earn enough money nowadays just selling the products, so they sell rights to certain territories to other record labels so that other labels can sell the same product/release in their respective territory/region. The label that sold the territory rights to the other label not only makes money on its product/release, but also earns money from the label/s that bought the territory rights from them. The label that bought the territory rights, does not have to sign or pay the artist, it only pays a percentage of sales to the original record label and makes easy money just selling the product in its own territory. Thanks to illegal downloading and the slump in records sales, the lack of income forces most labels to sell or buy their territory rights , otherwise they would not be making much money and thus the stupid rule on all download portals with the territory restrictions. The thing to do is, when you have a track that is territory restricted, just look for the same release on another label, maybe they will have the rights for your territory. so we hope you can understand, cheers, massimo |
