It began for Guy Gerber at the age of 16. After playing soccer for almost
his entire life, he got his first electric guitar. That was the end of
sport and the beginning of the music addiction. Listening to bands like Joy
Division, My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, Soft Cell and the Beach Boys,
Guy established a taste for music which inspires him in his musical
productions. With today's various dance music genres, Guy has managed to
create his own sound, a natural mixture of strong and deep grooves,
futuristic bass lines, all blended with a touch of bitter sweet harmonies
on top.
Guy's first release was 'Kenny's Back' on Whoop! Records, a big turning
point for a producer. In 2003 he released 'Electric Mistress' on
Alternative Route Recordings. From that point Guy's way was paved to
acclaim his name as one of the most talented and promising producers to
come out of Israel. His next releases: 'Flamer/Soon' under his A.D.D name
showed his more naïve house productions side and was the first release to
come out on Kinky Vinyl Records.
In 2005 King Street Records signed his new tracks 'Turkish Delight' and
'Midnight Sketches'. Guy's biggest hit record "Stoppage Time'' fits
somewhere between house and epic techno. Since it's initial release in
September last year this has been an end of night dance floor smash. It
appears on more than ten CD compilations from some of the world's most
leading DJss: Sven Vath, Wally Lopez, Max Graham, Gabriel & Dresden and
more.
Guy has received Best Israeli Electronic Artist award for 2003 by the
Israeli Music Association and an award for Best Electronic Producer by
Israel's leading dance music magazine & MTV contest. In 2005 Guy had been
chosen for him being Israel's Best Export Artist, which again showing that
there is another musical side in Israel and its not only based on trance
music.
