Sandro Monte Biography

Thanks to his family, while growing up, music always played a big part in Sandro´s life.
It started in his early years going to church singing with his grandmother and later, continued with his uncle giving him a guitar. Guitar playing eventually turned into producing and when he was bitten by the house bug his musical journey started to take off!

Long days at home with the computer making sounds developed into making songs and soon he was discovered, getting his first record deal in 2007 with his first single“Don´t Mess”. It caused quite a buzz and was played by dj´s like Erick Morillo and Deep Dish.

In 2009 things started to get really interesting. Sandro´s remix of Sour Grapes “Stay For Now”, being released on Chris Lake´s labelRising Music stayed in the Beatport chart for more than 6 weeks and got heavy support from many dj´s around the globe. The same year also included a collaboration with fellow swede Albin Myers resulting in “Somewhere”, witch was released on EDX´s label PinkStar. It made it to the top 20 on the electro chart on Beatport and has been featured on over 20 compilations worldwide. Sandro also remixed one of the best selling house tracks of 2009, “Touch Me” with a vocal performance from Abigail Bailey and produced by Tom Novy & Jerry Ropero.

Sandro is also known for his energetic dj performances, his total dedication to give the people on the dance floor the best possible experience and at the same time pleasing the ears of the gifted with intelligent mixes, special re-edits and clever use of acapellas. Over the years Sandro has had the opportunity to play all across Europe and in the US.

If you have to put one word to describe Sandro Monte then versatility is probably the best way to describe him both as an artist and as a Dj. With his remixes and original productions he crosses through house in all its forms showing both underground and commercial credentials.

At the moment Sandro is on fire with his new single “Simple Man”, made together with Mischa Daniels and swedish singer/rapper J-Son, recently released on Armada Music & Ultra Records as a part of Mischa´s debut album “Where You Wanna Go”. Sandro has also remixed the 2nd single from the same album, “Beats For You”, working with the vocals of Tara McDonald who in the past have worked with big artists like David Guetta, Axwell, etc.

On top of that he has remixed one of the true classics of house music“Coracao” and received major support from the absolute elite among dj´s across the globe!
In his new studio he is currently working on his debut album, writing tracks for other artists as well as a collaboration with legendary producer Denis The Menace.
