Various Artists Le Projet Minsk

The French Embassy in Belarus and Trenton Records present their new edition of Eurotronics in Minsk. After a successful re- cord in Kazakhstan called ¿Tro- nicstan¿ Trenton Records and the ¿French Cultural foreign offices¿ keep on pushing the bounda- ries and developing an universal musical language in between different cultures through the modern urban musical genres of electronic music and traditional melodies. The project consisted in a col- lective work of music creation in between musicians and DJs and electronic music composer Sa- muel Rouanet Aka Reynold. Belarus musicians were recorded and these recordings used as samples to compose and produce electronic dance tracks. The whole workshop was focused on exploring European cutting edge underground style of music cal- led something like «minimal deep house». 5 artists from Trenton Records were also asked to produce a track each with the same samples recorded in Minsk. ¿Le Projet Minsk¿ CD will then be born with a real collaboration in between artists from Belarus and worldwide artists with a total of 10 exclusive tracks. This project was realised thanks to the financial support of the French Embassy and of the pri- vate companies Pernod-Ricard and Belrosagroservice.
